George isn’t a guitar player, but like many people, he’s tried one or two chords. One day he picked up an acoustic in his basement and started going between something resembling a D, then something like an F. He asked me, “Andy, is this anything?” I said “It could be”....not long after that, we had “Better.” A note about that band name - it’s not THAT Jonas (naturally - in 1999 those kids were what, 8?) The band used to be called “Jonas Grumby” (Skipper on Gilligan’s Island)...but someone called us and said that name was taken. So we shortened it.
